2009 National Country Music Muster, Gympie
4 Tracks
Held over six days, 25-30 August, in Amamoor Creek State Forest Park, the Muster celebrates the true spirit of Australia with a diverse program featuring country's finest musicians performing in a bushland setting.
As well as traditional and modern country, there will be plenty of folk, bluegrass, balladeers and gospel, blues, bush poetry, clogging, linedancing, swing and rock 'n roll... there's even a theatre production!
Artists already confirmed for the 2009 Muster include: Troy Cassar-Daley, Kasey Chambers, Shannon Noll, Melinda Schnieder, Beccy Cole, James Blundell, Carter & Carter, Amber Lawrence, The Wilson Pickers and The Wildes.
The National Country Music Muster is organised by the Gympie Apex Club, with all profits going to charity. Since its inception, the Muster has raised more than $12,000,000 dollars for charities Australia-wide and annually raises up to $100,000 for the Rural Aid Appeal.

Hi All,
Sincerly wondering why Lee Conway is not on your list..His music and talent is awesome.....
His songs have a huge range of different feelings to the mind, e.g The Bell, All i wanna Do,List goes on. Why not bring a legend back that has so much talent to offer to a variety of people?
Take the time to enquire...
Kindess regards Amber Jade.
the gympie MUSTER is a must do at least once while your still breathing.for a diehard fan like myself it is so good being out in the australian bush around campfires with people playing there own styles of guitar.its the type of event that still keeps the aussie aura alive in us all in this ever changing social environment.though you cant really compare it with tamworth as one is in the city and the other in the scrub the MUSTER does it for me bigtime, its like going home.i would suggest to anyone to allocate 10 days for this event though it actually runs for 6 days.on the sat/sun just prior to the MUSTER there is the imbil show and rodeo and steam train rides from gympie to imbil and return with period costume renactments at imbil.there is also horse trail riding with "adventure trail rides" held throughout the year.the races are also held in gympie and plenty of free live music held in gympie during the MUSTER week.volunteer workers at the various clubs such as scout and girl guides are most welcome and very rewarding.i was up there on friday 1st of august at 5.30am congregating with folks from all over australia in the icy cold conditions with a cup of cha for myself and others, waiting for poulsens paddock to open to reserve our real estate for the MUSTER.i hope you can join me this year, just keep an ear out for people singing to there hearts content into a mic and amp at a campsite and you have made it to hillbilly heaven. regards paul from Country Connection.
I wish I could get there, but I'll have to check out the pics this year. I'm glad the ABC are going though.
Tour the whole muster to FNQ - it'd be so popular. awesome bands but maybe not for a week just a weekend
Gympie is a terrific festival for the whole family. Congratulations to the ABC for sponsoring such great artists. The most exciting new artist this year at Gympie will probably be Craig Morrison and Little Cowboys who rocked the joint last year!
