John Williamson: 40 years True Blue Tour
John Williamson, who grew up in the country town of Quambatook in the Mallee region of northwest Victoria, was playing the ukelele at 7 and made his first public musical appearance on television talent quest program 'New Faces' in 1970, aged 25.
Since those early days he has won 24 Golden Guitar awards and three ARIA awards, and watched his albums go Platinum and Gold, selling in excess of four million copies.
This month Williamson will release 'The Absolute Best of John Williamson: 40 Years True Blue', which includes his hits and most requested songs, together with a new track recorded with Shannon Noll.
He'll be touring around the country in support of the album throughout 2010.
