'Coal Miner’s Daughter' A Tribute To Loretta Lynn
Loretta Lynn delves into her address book to personally invite an unusual mix of musicians to record some of her iconic songs.
The country music legend signalled her arrival on the country scene with her 1960 hit I’m A Honky Tonk Girl. Known for her distinct voice and song-writing style, her musical legacy has included 16 number 1 singles including Don’t Come Home A’Drinkin (with Lovin’ On Your Mind) and Coal Miner’s Daughter.
Lynn became a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1988, she is a four-time Grammy honouree after receiving the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010.

Born in Butcher Hollow, Kentucky to a coal miner father, Lynn married at 14 years old, was a mother soon after, and moved to Washington with her husband, Oliver Vanetta Lynn, Jr. (b.1926, d.1996), nicknamed "Doo".
