Gympie Muster - Sunday

The finals of the Talent Search took place on the main stage mid-afternoon. Last year's winner, Mickey Pye brought along a full band this time to perform at venues across the event. Sista Burley - twins Rebecca and Katrina from Woodford took out this year's big prize having fought off stiff competition from fellow finalists Melissa Partridge and David Agius. The girls were pretty shell-shocked after the win and we can't wait to see how they progress over the next year.
Dianna Corcoran was a firm favourite over at the Muster Club, where she brought along a stellar band including guitarist James Gillard from The Flood. Was there anyone James wasn't playing with over the course of the Muster? We clocked him onstage with Catherine Britt, The Sunny Cowgirls, Markus Meier, Dianna and Lee Kernaghan.
Sara Storer was joined on stage during her set by her brother Greg Storer whilst The Pigs kept the revellers going until the early hours.
But without a doubt, the highlight was Sunday night's headliner Lee Kernaghan and his incredibly tight band. Taking a pit stop from his Planet Country tour, the Country legend described Gympie as the "centre of the universe" and the tens of thousands of us standing in the middle of Amamoor State Forest couldn't agree more.
