It's not everyday you get to answer the phone to Joe Nichols, but the country performer is heading to our shores and has plenty to talk about.
Known for his distinctive baritone, Joe Nichols has been credited with bringing a fresh and modern approach to traditional American country music. As a kid, he learnt his craft from the country greats - singing along to Merle Haggard songs on his bedroom stereo. Since then, he has picked up three number 1 singles, 7 top tens and several Grammy nominations. It has also been nearly a decade since the release of his major-label debut.
Last in Australia for 2009's The Size Matters tour, Joe Nichols returns with his Greatest Hits album, a new duet with our own Jasmine Rae and plenty of live shows:
Catch Joe Nichols at Rocks The Hunter on Saturday March 5.
He will also be returning to Australia in April and May:
April 29: Empire Theatre Toowoomba, QLD
April 30: Urban Muster Caboolture, QLD
May 1: Pilbeam Theatre Rockhampton, QLD
May 4: Evan Theatre Sydney, NSW
May 6: Civic Centre Albury, NSW
May 7: Forurm Melbourne VIC
May 8: Adelaide Theatre SA
