Nanci Griffith is currently touring Australia in support of her latest album The Loving Kind. ABC Country grabbed the opportunity to record her in the studio.
The Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter is accompanied by her producer and guitarist Thomm Jutz. The pair performed two tracks from the album, 'Listen to the Radio' and the album's title track, 'The Loving Kind'.
Nanci also gave some background to her songs, offering us an insight into her compositions.

In response to Nomis: Never mind "living in Sydney or Melbourne", I live 2 hours out of Melbourne and would crawl over broken glass to see Nanci. I did and sat throught one of warmest, most genuine performances I have ever experienced.
I sat vacillating between a manic grin and tears - both of joy and elation at finally seeing live my hero, my "Brave Companion of The Road".
I will never forget the experience. So glad I made the trip.

An shining beacon in a sea of mediocrity which is modern American music. Nanci is the 'real deal'. Her new album 'The Loving Kind' is outstanding.
If you live in Sydney or Melbourne and don't see her live, you will be sorry for the rest of your life.
