Guitarist Albert Lee kicks off his Australian tour later this month.

Lee started his career in the British R&B boom of the 1960s but turned his back on the scene to follow his interest in country and rockabilly. He once shared a house with Joe Cocker, reputedly influenced Jimmy Page and has played with the likes of Emmylou Harris, Roseanne Cash and Rodney Crowell.

This will be Lee’s ninth trip to Australia. He first came over in the 1970s as a member of Joe Cocker’s Grease Band.

Live shows include:

24th August – Corner Hotel, Melbourne
25th August – Southern Cross Club, Canberra
26th August – The Basement, Sydney
28th August – Thornbury Theatre, Melbourne
