Alison Krauss on 'Get Low' soundtrack
The song 'Lay My Burden Down' written by Aoife O'Donovan features on the score alongside old tunes by the Ink Spots, Gene Austin, Paul Whiteman and Bix Beiderbecke.
The film, by director Aaron Schneider, is based on the true story of Felix 'Bush' Breazeale, a Tennessee recluse who planned his own funeral party in 1938 while he was still alive to enjoy it.
It stars Robert Duvall as the mysterious Breazeale, Bill Murray as the opportunistic funeral home owner, along with Sissy Spacek and Lucas Black.
Krauss's music has previously been on soundtracks to films including O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Cold Mountain.
The Get Low soundtrack is due for release on July 27.
The film comes out in the US at the end of July, but there is no official Australian cinema release date scheduled yet.
