Young country music star-on-the-rise Amber Lawrence is clocking up some serious kilometres, touring in support of her second album.

After visiting Tamworth for the country music event of the year and being announced as the winner of the inaugural Horizon Award at the 2010 Golden Guitar Awards – in recognition of her success in touring, recording, song writing and performing – the high-flying accountant-turned-muso continues her tour through around the country for a combination of gigs and festival appearances.

Lawrence's latest album, When It All Comes Down, was nominated for three Golden Guitar awards this year.

After graduating from the University of New South Wales with a commerce degree and working for six years as a chartered accountant for Qantas, Lawrence became a full-time musician.
