Country duet for Lady Gaga and Ne-Yo?
R&B star Ne-Yo has revealed that he wants to record a country duet with pop princess Lady Gaga. Ne-Yo told one newspaper "I've reached out to Gaga and our people are talking. It would be amazing if we could do a country and western record, something totally unexpected."
Both artists are known for their unusual career choices and have in the past expressed an interest in Country music – Lady Gaga is said to be a fan of Taylor Swift, whilst Ne-Yo admits to listening to country music.
But it’s not the first time an unlikely pair have teamed up and ruffled a few country music feathers – rapper T-Pain performed with Taylor Swift at an awards ceremony a few years ago, whilst in 2004, Tim McGraw joined rapper Nelly on the hit track ‘Over and Over’.

I think this is a terrific idea. Country is a broad genre, and can embrace such sub-genres as Roots, Alt-Country, and Folk Country.
For me the strength of Country is the lyric, to bring this appreciation to a wider and younger audience can only do good.
