The Queen of Country, Dolly Parton, is heading to Australia.

The country music legend announced on her website that she has started work on her 41st album, and will support the release with a world tour, including a visit to our shores in Autumn.

The as-yet untitled record, is the follow up to 2008's Backwoods Barbie, and will feature brand new compositions from Dolly that have never been heard before.

The 2011 tour will start in the US in early summer, before moving throughout Europe and into Australia.

Last week, Dolly Parton's Dollywood theme park won the highly coveted 2010 Applause Award from the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions.
