Justin Townes Earle on tour
After touring here for the first time in November 2008, he returned late last year to play a series of packed venues and sold-out shows, and now he’s back again with some fresh material from his latest album, the acclaimed Midnight At The Movies.
The son of folk-hero Steve Earle, stepson of Allison Moorer, and the namesake of Townes Van Zandt, he has his work cut out for him but the advantage of a good bloodline.
With a whiskey-soaked voice that sounds older than his 28-years, Earle takes his cues from his father along with Hank Williams, Townes Van Zandt and Jimmy Reed, and combines pre-war folk, classic country, blues, indie pop and ragtime, with a more modern sound.
Justin Townes Earle will play select dates with fellow US musician Jason Isbell, formerly of Alabama roots outfit Drive By Truckers.

Artist Biography
Justin Townes Earle, son of Steve Earle, stepson of Allison Moorer, and named for songwriter Townes Van Zandt is an AMA nominated, Americana musician based in Nashville, Tennessee. Earle is signed to Bloodshot Records and has three released albums from 2007–2009. He currently resides in the East Village with his fiance.
