Kasey and Shane pick up Country APRA

Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson

Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson have won the 2009 APRA Award - Country Work of the Year - for their 'Rattlin’ Bones', which was also nominated for APRA Song of the Year.

The latest honour makes Chambers the most awarded female songwriter in APRA history. It was Nicholson's first APRA trophy.

The married couple triumphed ahead of fellow nominees Adam Brand, Amber Lawrence, Sara Storer and Adam Harvey.

I prefer Kasey when she sings with Shane Nicholson, cause they work well together and he balances out her strong singing. Its a good sound.
