Kate Ceberano goes country
The singer, who has already dabbled in jazz, pop and dance during her 26 year career, told Undercover.fm, that she wanted to try her hand at something different.
“The Country and Western album is in the can” she said, “Hawaiian music is essentially bluegrass, it is country. It is what I was spoon-fed on. I was breastfed on it actually.”
According to Ceberano, she tested the idea out on some of Tamworth’s head honchos, and was surprised to hear that Melbourne in the 1920s had an Hawaiian country association of musicians.
Keep your ears peeled and eyes open for the Kate Ceberano album sometime next year.
