May 10, 2011 Updated Jun 8, 2011

The first inclusions for the 2011 Gympie Music Muster line up have been announced.

US duo Montgomery Gentry take the headline spot amongst a range of other national and international musicians. The festival will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year, running from August 23-28 at Amamoor Creek State Forest Park in Queensland.

Joining Montgomery Gentry on the trip from abroad will be Canadians Doc Walker, who also have an as yet to be confirmed Sydney sideshow for those who can’t make it to the festival. Other international names arriving from the US include Eugene Hideaway Bridges, Bryan White and Grammy Award-winning country blues artist Alvin Youngblood Hart.

Along with international acts, there will be a healthy selection of local acts including Kasey Chambers, Lee Kernaghan, Beccy Cole and Adam Brand, who will be returning from his US tour supporting Taylor Swift.

With 10 stages and 140 musicians playing the festival, more inclusions in the lineup are expected to be announced soon. Festival tickets are now on sale.
