Ten of Australia’s most promising independent artists will hit the stage tonight in the finals of the Road to Tamworth.

Now in its eighth year, the Road to Tamworth, is one of Australia's biggest talent searches. The finalists will battle it out to become the winning Performer and winning Songwriter. This year’s lucky winners will receive an artist development package including a return trip to Nashville to record in a US studio, domestic and international gigs and a 12-month mentorship to help them with their professional careers.

The finalists are: Alan Boyle, Kirsty Elwell, David Garnham, Gena Rose Bruce, Harry Hookey, Amela Duheric, Shandell Tosoni, Codee-Lee Down, Craig Sinclair, Nikki Jensen

Tonight's showcase will also feature ARIA-award winners The McClymonts, James Blundell, Felicity Urquhart, Amber Lawrence and last year’s Road to Tamworth winners Luke Webb and Tenielle.
