Rosanne Cash, the US singer and daughter of the late, great Johnny Cash, is working with Billy Bragg and Joe Henry on a new album.

"Exciting news: EMI gave me go-ahead for Anti Records project with Billy Bragg and Joe Henry. Recording starts in November, emails flying," she announced on Twitter yesterday.

Last year Cash released an album of songs called The List, which was based on a list of essential country tunes her father had compiled for her.
