The winner of the 2010 Road to Tamworth talent quest, Teneille Musulin, once drove freight trains for a living but is now off to Nashville to make her own album.
Teneille grew up in the tiny town of Karratha in Western Australia before leaving at the age of 17.
"I've been working up north for the last four years driving (iron ore) trains," she said.
Luke Webb from Blaxland in the Blue Mountains won the songwriter section of the talent quest.
Webb will also get the opportunity to travel to Nashville as part of his prize.
After getting married in three weeks, Webb will get down to the business of writing songs.
"I'm just excited to be able to spend more time writing songs ... it's my main passion," he said.
