Australian country music stalwarts The Webb Brothers have dusted off their archives to release a brand new album.

Fabian, Barard and Marius aka The Webb Brothers will release a new CD called The Best of the Webb Brothers this week.

The album features some of their early work recorded on analogue tape, some rarities, as well as favourites and hits created during their 55 years performing.

"A lot of these songs are around 30 years old... A lot of people around here wouldn't have heard them or even know who we are," Fabian told the Gympie Times.

"Brilliant musicians played on some of the songs. The Joye Boys did most of the backing for the second CD and front-man Col Joye was musical arranger."
