Urban picks up country music award

Australian country musician Keith Urban has picked up the gong for Best Male Video at the CMT Music Awards in Nashville.

The award ceremony was held on June 9, with Urban collecting the award for his music video 'Til Summer Comes Around' from his 2009 studio album Defying Gravity.

Urban beat other country music heavyweights to the prize, including Tim McGraw, Toby Keith, Billy Currington and Jason Aldean.

Other winners at the event include Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Brooks & Dunn, Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan.
