Williamson celebrates 40 years in music
Arguably Australia’s truest bluest country musician, Williamson made a name for himself when at 25 he performed his song 'Old Man Emu' on the talent quest program New Faces and won, going on to become an icon in Australian country music.
During his career he has won a whopping 24 Golden Guitars, three ARIA awards, APRA awards, his albums have gone Platinum and Gold, and he's sold over 4 million albums.
His most recent release 'The Absolute Best of John Williamson: 40 Years True Blue' includes hits and most-requested songs, together with a new track recorded with Shannon Noll.
Williamson is currently touring around the country in support of the album.
