Willie Nelson and T-Bone Burnett make Country Music
Simply called Country Music, the album includes performances by Nelson of country classics, along with tunes by the 'King of Western Swing' Bob Willis, and Ernest 'the Texas Troubadour' Tubbs.
The Oscar and Grammy winning Burnett is recognised for his work with artists like Counting Crows, Alison Krauss and Robert Plant, and was involved with the music for films including O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Walk The Line, The Big Lebowski and, most recently, Crazy Heart.
On the process of putting the album together, Nelson said: “I’ve known T Bone for years, but never worked with him before. He sent me a list of 28 songs he’d thought about for this album and I added 'Nobody’s Fault But Mine'. We recorded 23 and picked 15 out of that to release."
Country Music is due for release on April 20.

A music icon. His classic album "Stardust"in my mind hasn't been bettered. Love most of his recorded works for various labels over the years. http://MusicManMarketing.groups.live.com
Willie is often on the road than spending time in the studio. Recently on the road with Merle Haggard & Ray Price for their OLD DOGS Tour of the U.S. Willie on ABC Country still shows his capacity to attract a listening audience, regardless of age. Willie Nelson has won my recommendation,& should be considered the Artist Of The Centry. What do you think? Let me know please at E: brianmccannthemusicman@hotmail.com Thanks!
This could be wonderful! TBone's Crazy Heart stuff was a worrthy Oscar winner and it'll be good to hear soem new takes on old Willie
I really wanted to love this album. It’s got the T Bone Burnett sound and it’s full of old traditional songs that Willie has never played before. But it sounds dry. Doesn’t grab me.
