My town is every town.

A job's a job and mine can take me almost any place,
inkeepers and truckstop ladies all know my face,
hotel rooms and motel rooms have always been my base.

Always moving always travelling,
nowhere can I call home,
I wish that I could settle down,
but it's been my life to roam.

So my town is every town I've stayed in all my life,
I've had no time to settle down, no time to take ( be) a wife,
my town is called Australia, there's no place I'd rather be,
cause just about everywhere
has been a home to me.

The mighty city of Sale

It's large enough to be a city
but small enough to care,
with a mighty shopping complex
but still a maypole at the fair,
you can go to the races at greenwattle
watch the horses thunder by,
or eat your lunch down near the lake
where the black swans gentle sigh.

Chorus
With the Rouletts soaring overhead
oil and gas down in the strait,
rolling hills and farm land
and the beauty of the lakes,
ninty miles of sand and surf
and the snow not far away,
what started out as Flooding Creek
is mighty Sale today.

Verse 2
At the cinema you can watch latest
with 3D and surround sound,
or park your car right next to the fence
at the local footy ground,
to support the mighty magpies
as they battle tooth and nail,
to win once more for the place they love
the mighty city of Sale.

Chorus.....

Verse3
We started out with dairy farms
scattered all around,
with stores for support and pubs for a snort
life was simple, values sound,
we're still a country town at heart
but many things have changed,
with the RAAF base, and the gas plant
many lives were rearranged,
but when you speak of community
you've really hit the nail,
I love this place and so will you
the mighty city of Sale.

chorus and end.........
