I have lived my whole life the past 16 yrs in this beautiful town and it has inspired many of my songs I have wrote. So I decided tonight to put a tune down and write the lyrics about beautiful mackay and this is my song.

From the coalfields to the Ocean, it's here I want to stay,
With Beaches and the Marina, In the region of Mackay
The walkways and the Gardens, is quite a sight to,
Blue Water Keys by the River side, That's where I want to be.

All around the City, the ocean's at your door.
Diving, Surfing, and Sailing, you couldn't ask for more.
So if you come to Queensland, and wander up our way,
Make a stop in paradise, to our City of Mackay

At Eungella in the National Park, you Track along the way,
In the ponds at the waterfalls, you see the Platypus play.
What could be more peaceful, it's far beyond belief.
We have one of the Seven Wonders, The Great Barrier Reef.

Butterflies in autumn, Whales migrating in the spring,
With Sunshine and the waterfalls, the sound of Parrots sing.
So if you ever come to Queensland, and wander up our way,
Make a stop in paradise, to our City of Mackay

We'll embrace you with our beauty, and delight you every night,
With scenery and Island Trips, to never ending sights.
