I'm a song lyricist currently collaborating with a music writer in Karratha WA. We are not performers just music writers seeking to hook up with a manager/producer, someone to get our works out to artists etc....Our main genre is "country" but we write almost anything. I visited Nashville 3 years ago seeking a music writer, hooking up with 3 great musos, but it was'nt till I came over to WA that I found exactly what I was after...I'm hoping someone at the ABC in the music deptartment may know of someone seeking songwriters...I would love to send you some mp3's of our works to give you an idea of our talent...2 CD's completed with 10 songs each, over a 12 month period and another 800 plus lyrics on the burner and ready to be given music....I have one song I would especially love some Aussie artist to pick up...TAKE ME HOME , played on the ABC in Cairns a couple of years ago. I received great feedback but never found an Aussie artist to sing it. It's an Aussie male's song sung by one of my American country music writers, a female, who does a great job...but I really need a male voice. It tells of an Aussie Digger killed overseas and while his mates are standing around their fallen comrade his spriit hears the call of home..Australia is calling his spirit home. I feel it could be quite relevant especially after so many of our lads have fallen recently.....hoping someone at the ABC can help...regards...Lance
