A Loo for Anderson Park

Verse 1
The highway divides Valla in two
To the east of Pickett Hill and Englands Mount
There’s a beach culture with a market crew.
To the west stretching out to Bolla Nolla
Lies the farms and small acreages
Of fun loving hippies and tree changers.

*Chorus
Everyone’s been on holidays to Valla Beach
From Rod Runs to V Dub Shows
Macca Farms to Cattle Brands
Valla’s certainly made its mark
There’s just one thing we haven’t got
And that’s a loo for Anderson Park.

Verse 2
Watch out, watch out for wallabies
And if the kookaburras or black cockatoos
Roost in your trees as the sun goes down
They are sure to wake you just on dawn.
Our land is rich and once held gold
The farmers grew beans and avo’s, I’m told

*Chorus

Verse 3
Our hall is over a century old
We all go there to kick up our heels.
Come join us for a meal or a jam
On a Sunday at the local Tavern.
But if it’s a game of cricket or footy you seek
They have to play elsewhere we are sorry to say, ‘Cos

*Chorus

There’s just one thing we haven’t got
After all this time were still waiting for a loo at Anderson Park.
